What is a Tooth Implant?
A tooth implant is comprised of two parts:
- Titanium post
- Crown
The titanium post is inserted into the jawbone, and through a process called osseointegration, the jawbone heals around the post, affixing it for a long-term solution. The crown is the portion of the implant above the gum used for biting and chewing.
